Druid Hills POA involved in Real Estate Crime: How is the POA obtaining it’s members? How are they trying to gain control over our subdivision? Outside of the normal stuff, like harassment, coercion, manipulation, and intimidation, they are also infiltrating real estate closings by demanding dues under the FALSE premise of being a “mandatory” association and falsely representing themselves as if it comes under the CCIOA.
We are victims of real estate crime and fraud, the Druid Hills POA falsely identified themselves as being “mandatory” during our closing. We were also denied and not given ANY information whatsoever about the Druid Hills Property Owners Association at the time we were forced to pay dues. It was only under duress and protest that we agreed to pay the fees, as they were holding our transaction hostage, and the title company said that they required us to pay the fees due to the status letter that the Druid Hills POA supplied to them. The title company said we didn’t have to continue paying dues after we closed, but we had no idea what we were even agreeing to, as nothing was provided to us, and we were hit with it at the last minute. Our contract clearly stated that there were no mandatory associations in the Druid Hills, yet we were blindsided and then forced into agreeing to paying into an association we didn’t even have any information about or knowledge of.
