The Druid Hills Subdivision Sign Restored by Diana Foraci
The posts are safe and sound from being destroyed or cut up by the POA
We need to band together and prepare an Article of Dissolution to dissolve the POA.
Everyone sign my signature page let’s do this!
SADLY THE POA HAS BEEN GIVEN A PERMIT TO HANG THEIR CHEAP STREET SIGN TO REPRESENT THIS SUBDIVISION
THIS DOES NOT AUTHORIZE OR HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE OWNERSHIP WITH THE POSTS
I contacted the police, informed them of my intent to protect our posts from the POA intentions. Cutting them down, replacing them or whatever they had in mind to take over our subdivision. Wipe out any memory of our past heritage which we should be proud of.
Now they have their opportunity to do what they want! Put up whatever works to hang their street sign on. The matter is resolved now and this should be the end of it.
This saddens me to have to do this, but our heritage needs protection from the POA.
The WOODEN sign in the front entrance of the Druid Hills Subdivision was covered up by the POA’s fiber board street sign without permission nor did they mention or care about the fact that at the same time the back WOODEN sign was torn down landing on the ground in the road, as if the one post was pulled down by a vehicle and not the wind as some may suggest. The back entrance sign located near our mail boxes laid on the ground in the snow for some time, until I recovered it from the harsh weather and any further damage. I will also restore the back entrance sign in our subdivision to it;s natural beauty.
If you ask me, and I am very knowledgeable of events that have occurred in this subdivision, the POA’s disregard for property not belonging to them or lack of caring was evident when they damaged the wooden sign using it as a backboard, hiding it. We cherish our heritage in the Druid Hills Subdivision the two original wooden entrance signs added to its esthetic value and the restoration work I have done. This is my contribution to our community. I feel like I am hugging a tree to save the sign and posts that Ken Barber had erected in 1971.
POA REQUESTING A PERMIT FOR THEIR SIGN ALREADY HANGING AT THE ENTRANCE ON THE RIGHT A WAY ON COUNTY PROPERTY
As of June 12, 2018, the POA was granted a permit to hang their street sign (that has been hanging for over a year). I personally, talked to the Planning Director Dan Williams to clarify the truth about what has been happening in this subdivision. My side of the story, the actual sequence of events about the fraudulent, deceptive, malfeasance, etc. the Property Owners Association has imposed upon us for so long. He thanked me for clarifying the other side and I most respectively have found an official that is actually doing his job.
ABOUT THE POA ACCUSATIONS ON THEIR WEBSITE COMMENTS ON STOLEN SIGN, TALKING ABOUT CRIMINAL CIVIL COURT ACTION. STILL AFTER A YEAR
On April 30, 2017, I wrote a letter of intent to David Rusterholtz that I would be retrieving the front entrance sign that belonged to me and was part of this subdivision, within 10 days. The POA failed to respond to my letter sent on 5-3-17 by certified mailing, but they did call the police some time after I retrieved the sign. Saying ‘our sign is stolen’.
POA PRESIDENT LIES TO POLICE
A deputy came out (if I recall Deputy Sims) I told the deputy he could contact Ken Barber’s son Doug Barber he could confirm that his dad bought the entrance signs back in 1970-71. According to David Rusterholtz the statement the POA president made was that they purchased the entrance signs”? I never heard another word after that from anybody, it has been over a year..
David Rusterholtz told the police the POA purchased the original wooden entrance signs in our subdivision. Truth is the Developer Ken Barber purchased the original wooden signs in 1970 or 1971 when our subdivision was developed and DIANA FORACI (me) has maintained both the front and back entrance signs for the past 31 years.
Why the POA lied and said they purchased the wooden signs is hard to comprehend and they actually expect people to believe what they are saying is true, is unconscionable. I can only imagine they are trying to hurt me in keeping a genuine effort of my contribution to our community from being recognized.
DRUID HILLS HOMEOWNERS
The front entrance sign is restored to its natural beauty and I look forward to putting it back up when it is safe to do so. The POA stated in their meeting agenda 2018 that member Tim Gray will change posts this summer, oh no these posts held up the original sign, therefore, I put some lettering on the post that said ‘PROPERTY HOA’, to my shock somebody removed those vinyl letters within four days, I cannot risk the chance of the POA destroying the posts or the original sign that represents our subdivision.
I AM LOOKING OUT FOR US ALL
KEEP STANDING UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS
DON’T BE BULLIED BY THE POA
As a matter of fact David Simmons (our newly appointed Assessor) came up to me in his car saying,” what are you doing” he flashed a badge, saying he worked for the Government. I held out my hand and said, I am Diana Foraci, he replied I know who you are. I walked away, feeling uncomfortable! He then got out of his car and started to intimidate me, in a loud voice, “I am calling the police” getting hostile, yelling and his face was turning red like a mad man. ” I told him I already called the police” please leave. He would not leave, so I went for my camera, he then got back into his car speeding off.
